VIDEO: Five years ago this part of the outskirts of Petrozavodsk consisted more or less just of wooden houses.
It is now turning into a modern high rising blocks of flats residential area. Some of the new buildings are ready for the new occupants, some are still under construction and some wooden houses still remain.
The economic sanctions against Russia and the Western forecast of an imminent collapse of the Russian economy doesn’t seem to bother the city developers in the capitol of the Karelian republic.
